“We are together — Bi-Wôri — Let us stay together”

Turning the unity of Gontougo into a lasting strength

Born from a football tournament between villages, BI-WÔRI has become the gathering where the youth, women and communities of Tanda come together to play, celebrate, learn and build — and to shape the future of their region side by side.

More than a celebration

A popular tradition that becomes a lever for development

In Gontougo, the vitality of the villages is a real asset, yet it often remains scattered. Each year, BI-WÔRI creates a moment where that energy converges: sport attracts, celebration unites, and the festival’s activities turn this mobilisation into skills, networks and projects.

Our conviction is simple: an event only has lasting value if it leaves something behind. That is why every edition is designed as one step on a longer path, not a flash in the pan.

  • Strengthen cohesion between villages and generations
  • Identify and support young local leaders
  • Give women and local entrepreneurs a stage
  • Make environmental protection a shared cause

Seven activities, one shared ambition

The tournament brings people together. The six other activities carry that momentum further, so that every participant leaves with more than a memory: a skill, a contact, an idea or a responsibility.

The historic heart of the festival: a competition that unites villages and turns sporting rivalry into shared pride.

Training young village ambassadors to speak for their communities and lead local initiatives.

Connecting young people across the region beyond festival day, so the momentum continues all year round.

A safe, playful and educational space, so that families can fully enjoy the festival.

Highlighting women who build businesses, lead and transform their communities.

A competition to surface and support entrepreneurial projects led by local young people.

“
“Bi-Wôri is first and foremost a promise: we are together, and we want to stay together. The festival is the moment that promise becomes visible.”

Why trust us

The spirit of a festival, the rigour of an institution

Partners do not commit to intentions; they commit to organisations. BI-WÔRI holds itself to three public standards.

A written agreement, a joint monitoring committee and documented supporting evidence for every commitment.

We always distinguish targets, estimates and actually measured results.

A festival born in the villages, driven by them, and designed to grow across Gontougo.
