The mask and the drum: the memory that brings us together

The BI-WÔRI Festival logo unites two emblems everyone in Gontougo recognises at first sight: the mask, guardian of the memory and identity of our communities, and the drum, which calls people together and sets the rhythm of the celebration.

The logo

Two emblems, one message: let us stay together

A community brand cannot be decreed: it has to be recognised. By pairing the mask and the drum, the logo roots the festival in what the villages share: their traditions and their way of coming together.

  • The mask: the memory of our elders, and the dignity and cultural wealth of the peoples of Gontougo.
  • The drum: the call to gather. In the village, it summons, announces the great moments and gets everyone dancing.
  • The red, yellow and green patterns: the vitality of local artistic expression.
  • The orange and brown of the name: the earth and the warmth of the savannah.
  • The arc beneath the name: the bond between the villages, like a shared stage.
Meaning to be validated: this reading of the logo is proposed for the website and must be confirmed by the organising committee.

Using the BI-WÔRI identity

To preserve the strength of the logo, a few simple rules apply to partners, media and community relays.

  • Only use the official logo files provided in the press kit.
  • Do not distort, recolour or crop the logo, and do not separate the mask and the drum from the festival name.
  • Leave enough clear space around the logo and place it on a light background.
  • Seek the committee’s approval before associating the logo with a commercial brand.
